I had the opportunity of illustrating for the SmART Pune festival, focused on sustainability in technology, spanning 10 days from February 14th to February 24th, 2019. The festival featured diverse events in six categories: Art and Design, Dance and Music, Film and Theatre, Workshops and Demos, Literature and Talks, all set in Pune, Maharashtra, India. My aim was to depict Pune's essence with bold, crisp illustrations while emphasising sustainability.
Inspired by Mark Conlan's style, I crafted each illustration to resonate with Pune's dynamic energy, integrating subtle nods to sustainability. From iconic landmarks to cultural symbols, every detail reflected the festival's theme.The result was a vibrant series of illustrations celebrating Pune's culture while advocating for sustainability in technology.
